The Operations and Maintenance Specialist Group scheduled in 2001 most of its activities up to 2004. In a four year plan that is updated regularly, events are classified according to the task force performing them.
These activities range from workshops and specialized conferences, to the publication of manuals of best practices with the output of the work from the task forces. So far, the three activities scheduled for 2001 were successfully carried out in the form of workshops.
Past activities
First as the Operations and Maintenance Committee in IWSA, and now as a Specialist Group, the story of our activities can be traced by the many events and outputs of the group. Some of these activities laid the foundations for the work currentlly undertaken by some of the group task forces.
These are a few examples of past activities promoted by O&M in the past:
- Leakage 2005 Conference. Held in Halifax, Canada. September 2005.
- Efficient 2005 Conference. Held in Santiago, Chile. April 2005.
- Benchmarking Workshop held in IWA's World Congress, Marrakech. September 2004

- Pumps, Electromechanical Devices and Systems Conference held in Valencia, Spain. April 2003
